What's In a Name?
Et Al. (Latin): Abbreviation for Et Alia, which means "And Others"
This name is inspired by the academic phrase, where "et al." is commonly used to refer to a group of authors, but can also refer to a collection of services, ideas, and items. As a doctorate student of Physical Therapy who frequently looks at research, I thought this phrase might represent a few aspects of this company: The variety of services provided, the collaboration other photographers/videographers, and that I am, in fact, a nerd.
At Parker et al. Photography, we offer a range of photography services, from weddings and couple portraits to specialty real estate and adventure photography. I am often accompanied by my girlfriend, Jamey, who takes part in film photography and has a great eye for details and finding great shots.
As a doctoral student, I am constantly honing my research, creativity, and analytical skills, which translate well into my photography work. I am passionate about capturing moments and telling untold stories through images, and I approach each project with the same level of care and attention to detail that I bring to my academic work. I also love to find the simple, the peaceful, and the curious parts of life.
There is a saying that goes "A Jack of all trades is a master of none[...]" Strangely, that phrase is cut short, as there is a second part to it. The rest of the quote reads "[...] but oftentimes is better than a master of one." Life is dynamic and involves more than one aspect. We hope to emulate that by offering a full range of services to meet your needs with exceptional quality. More than that, we hope to get to know you and capture what makes you, you.
The Team

I'm Parker of Parker Et Al. Photography based out of South East Idaho. I moved here from the Treasure Valley seven years ago to attend ISU and play on their football team. Currently, I am in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at ISU.
I got my start in photography when I brought a second hand film camera to the City of Rocks, Idaho, and became entrapped at the moments it was able to capture. Since then, I have explored different disciplines and worked under my mentor, Sierra of Sierra Ambrosek Media, to build the skills of capturing life as it comes.
I chase the wild of the outdoors and spend my free time Mountain Biking (notice the scars on my arm), Rock Climbing, Backpacking, Fishing, Music, Reading, and drinking Coffee. More than anything, I enjoy living life alongside others, especially those I am closest to.

Jamey's About Page coming soon! Until, it will be a mystery.
